The NanoIC pilot line is a result of European collaboration. It’s hosted by imec (Belgium), and its partners include CEA-Leti (France), Fraunhofer (Germany), VTT (Finland), CSSNT (Romania), and Tyndall National Institute (Ireland). The acquisition and operation are jointly funded by the Chips Joint Undertaking, through the European Union’s Digital Europe (101183266) and Horizon Europe programs (101183277), as well as by the participating states Belgium (Flanders), France, Germany, Finland, Ireland and Romania.
Insights from the NanoIC pilot line

The NanoIC pilot line is part of the EU Chips Act, a legislative initiative to strengthen Europe's competitiveness and resilience in semiconductor technologies and applications. The Act focuses on advancing semiconductor research, providing state aid for manufacturing and monitoring the supply chain. With the NanoIC pilot line, imec is hosting one of the EU's most ambitious initiatives to advance chip innovation. Aimed specifically at the development of beyond-2nm systems-on-chip (SoC), this platform enables companies from across the semiconductor ecosystem to gain early experience with a range of disruptive technologies.
What exactly is the NanoIC pilot line? What key technologies is it targeting? And how can you leverage its capabilities to accelerate your innovation? Join this special track to find out. It delves into three of the main goals of the pilot line: developing and sharing knowledge, building demonstrators, and expanding manufacturing capabilities. You'll walk away with valuable insights, practical knowledge, and inspiration on how to contribute to this unique initiative.
