Transfer or cancellation of your participation at the Conference
Your ticket is personal and non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the Conference, you may transfer your ticket to another individual up to 10 days before the Conference. To transfer a ticket, please send an email to imecitf@imec.be with the following details for the new ticket holder (name, email address, job title, company, industry), and copy the new ticket holder on the email.
Please note: when transferring a ticket, only the personal details of the ticket holder can be changed. The event content of the original registration, such as breakouts, lunch or dinner registrations, will remain identical. Transferring a ticket will remove the original ticket holder’s personal information from our systems. Only the new ticket holder will be granted entry to the Conference.
Admittance to conferences
Imec, in its sole discretion, and without any liability or obligation to refund, reserves the right to refuse admittance to or to eject from the Conference anyone that imec determines is behaving in a manner that could disrupt, hinder or cause a nuisance to the Conference or to the enjoyment of any other person at the Conference; represents a security or health & safety risk to the Conference or to any person or partner e.g. non-compliance with sanitary measures applicable at the time of the Conference; and/or fails to comply with, or is likely to fail to comply with, these Terms.
Liability and insurance
You are responsible for arranging your own appropriate insurance cover in connection with your attendance or exhibition at the Conference. Imec and its related companies will not be liable for any injury or damage to any person or to any real or personal property howsoever caused (except for death or personal injury as a result of imec’s fault or for any other type of liability that cannot by law be excluded or limited).
Participants must adhere to all safety and health instructions and protocols put in place by imec at the Conference.
You acknowledge and agree that views expressed by speakers at or in connection with a Conference are their own and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for any advice given or views expressed during or in connection with a Conference.
Participants are not allowed to make (audio)visual material of the presentations or speakers at the Conference.
Materials shared or distributed at or in connection with a Conference are intended for information purposes only and should not be relied upon by you or others. We and our related companies do not provide any guarantees, conditions or warranties that the materials are complete or accurate and do not accept any responsibility or liability for reliance by you or any person on any aspect of the Conference and/or any information provided at the Conference.
Imec is not liable if the Conference is, in whole or in part, cancelled, rescheduled or postponed, or for any failure or delay to perform its obligations under these Terms, if such event results from anything beyond its reasonable control (for example, natural disasters, pandemic, flood, fire, acts of terror, war, labour strike, extreme weather malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, or mechanical, electronic or communications failure or degradation, or any other emergency) or anything else that renders performance of the Conference, in whole or in part, impracticable, illegal or impossible.
Intellectual Property
Nothing in this agreement grants you any IP rights in or licenses to the conference materials (including any developments or variations of them).
Accomodation
On the website of the Conference, a number of hotels are listed for your consideration without obligation. Booking these hotels is at your own risk, imec does not guarantee nor vouch for the quality of the services provided by these hotels.
Privacy
Imec is committed to protecting your personal information. These Terms include and incorporate by reference imec’s privacy policy, which explains the types of information collected (including photography, audio and video recording), stored, shared and processed in connection with the relevant Conference, how and why imec uses such information, who imec shares it with and your legal rights.
