General Terms and Conditions ITF (“Conference”)
Your agreement with imec
These Terms constitute the agreement between imec and the person who completes the Conference online registration form (“you” or “your”). These Terms govern your online registration, attendance at and/or participation at the Conference. By registering for the Conference you agree that you have read and accepted these Terms and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms, please do not register, attend or participate in the Conference. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information during the registration process.
Registering on behalf of another
If you are registering on behalf of another person, it is your obligation to make sure that the person attending is aware of these Terms and accepts them. By completing and submitting the registration form you are representing and warranting that you have made the person attending aware of these Terms and that they have accepted these Terms.
Changes or cancellation of a conference
Imec reserves the right to change, postpone or cancel the Conference at any point in time. In such cases, imec will not be liable to you for any expenditure, damage or loss incurred by you as a result of this change,cancellation or postponement.
Transfer or cancellation of your participation at the Conference
Your ticket is personal. Transferring your ticket, will invalidate the ticket preventing the ticket holder to gain entrance to the Conference.
Avoiding food waste is part of imec’s sustainability efforts.
Therefore, imec urges you to report a no-show at least 10 days before the event in order to reduce food waste.
Admittance to conferences
Imec, in its sole discretion, and without any liability or obligation to refund, reserves the right to refuse admittance to or to eject from the Conference anyone that imec determines is behaving in a manner that could disrupt, hinder or cause a nuisance to the Conference or to the enjoyment of any other person at the Conference; represents a security or health & safety risk to the Conference or to any person or partner e.g. non-compliance with sanitary measures applicable at the time of the Conference; and/or fails to comply with, or is likely to fail to comply with, these Terms.
Liability, insurance
You are responsible for arranging your own appropriate insurance cover in connection with your attendance or exhibition at the Conference. Imec and its related companies will not be liable for any injury or damage to any person or to any real or personal property howsoever caused (except for death or personal injury as a result of imec’s fault or for any other type of liability that cannot by law be excluded or limited).
Participants must adhere to all safety and health instructions and protocols put in place by imec at the Conference.
You acknowledge and agree that views expressed by speakers at or in connection with a Conference are their own and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for any advice given or views expressed during or in connection with a Conference.
Participants are not allowed to make (audio)visual material of the presentations or speakers at the Conference.
Materials shared or distributed at or in connection with a Conference are intended for information purposes only and should not be relied upon by you or others. We and our related companies do not provide any guarantees, conditions or warranties that the materials are complete or accurate and do not accept any responsibility or liability for reliance by you or any person on any aspect of the Conference and/or any information provided at the Conference.
Imec is not liable if the Conference is, in whole or in part, cancelled, rescheduled or postponed, or for any failure or delay to perform its obligations under these Terms, if such event results from anything beyond its reasonable control (for example, natural disasters, pandemic, flood, fire, acts of terror, war, labour strike, extreme weather malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, or mechanical, electronic or communications failure or degradation, or any other emergency) or anything else that renders performance of the Conference, in whole or in part, impracticable, illegal or impossible.
Intellectual Property
Nothing in this agreement grants you any IP rights in or licenses to the conference materials (including any developments or variations of them).
Privacy
Imec is committed to protecting your personal information. These Terms include and incorporate by reference imec’s privacy policy, which explains the types of information collected (including photography, audio and video recording), stored, shared and processed in connection with the relevant Conference, how and why imec uses such information, who imec shares it with and your legal rights.
