What personal data and why

We are committed to protecting your personal information. Our General Terms and Conditions “Conference” include and incorporate by reference the present privacy statement, which explains how imec handles your personal data. 

For your registration to this Conference, we collect your personal data, such as, contact information, professional information, dietary preferences/restrictions. Your personal data will be collected and processed for the purpose of your participation to the Conference (your registration, contacting you about practicalities relating to the event, ...) and to provide you information about similar events. If you don’t wish to be contacted about other events, you will have the possibility to opt out for these emails in the resp. communications.

We might need to share your personal data with partners of the Conference or service providers such as catering services, printers, etc.

Considering this event is a networking event, your contact information might be shared with the other participants to the event. 

Photography and video recording

Group or individual candid photographs or video recordings can be taken by us at this event. Some of these photographs and video images may be published in various media, such as social media, magazines, newspapers, etc.. Imec relies on the legitimate interest basis (i.e. promotion of the event, capturing the setting) for collecting, storing and processing this information. If you wish photographs and video recordings of yourself to be removed from our website, social networks and archive, please send your request to imecitf@imec.be.

Storage and retention

Imec has appropriate technical and organizational measures in place which are incorporated in security policies to keep your data safe. 

Your personal data will be kept for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which we are collecting your personal data, except for photographs or video recordings which are distributed online. 

Your rights

You can access, rectify or ask to delete your data that imec has collected for the purpose of this event, as prescribed by the GDPR. Simply send an email to privacy@imec.be to exercise your rights.
