Peter Soetens - CEO, Intermodalics

Peter Soetens is the founder of Intermodalics and Pick-it 3D, two robotic vision software companies with world-wide presence which count Fortune Global 500 companies as customers, such as Google, Bosch, Daimler, Samsung, Hyundai Motor, LG Electronics and many others. His companies bring software solutions to guide robots using 2D and 3D vision cameras primarily in production and warehousing environments. 

He holds a PhD in robotics obtained at Faculty of Engineering Sciences at the KU Leuven, where he developed the Open Robot Control Software (Orocos) which is a leading Open Source software framework for building real-time robot applications.

In his role as CEO of Intermodalics, he sets up partnerships with small and large robotic OEMs in order to keep their robotic platforms competitive in the market by bringing real-time navigation and AI Vision to their mobile robots.
