Kathrin Hoelz

Kathrin Hoels - Senior Researcher, Life Science Technologies, imec

Kathrin is a senior researcher at imec with extensive expertise in on-chip nucleic acid synthesis, focusing on developing technical solutions for applications in drug discovery and health care, synthetic biology, spatial omics and DNA data storage.

Kathrin is trained in chemistry at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (Germany) and received her PhD in Chemistry from the University of Vienna (Austria). She completed her post-doctoral training working on electrochemically controlled DNA synthesis for spatial omics applications at imec in collaboration with KU Leuven (Belgium).
