Joris Van Driessche

Joris Van Driessche received the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering in 2001 from the University of Ghent, Belgium. He joined imec in 2001 and worked as an RF Front-end Architecture Research Engineer with a main focus on system specification and architecture definition of multi-standard RF transceivers. In 2009, he became Program Manager of the reconfigurable RF transceiver research program, focusing on challenges towards true software defined radio transceivers optimized for advanced CMOS technologies. Currently, he is Portfolio Director for the 5G & beyond wireless communication research activities at imec addressing challenges for centimeter-wave to sub-THz device, RFIC, data converters, antenna, packaging and system design.
