Anna Herr

Biography
Anna Herr has been a Scientific Director at Imec since May 2021. She was an Advisory Engineer at Northrop Grumman from 2011 and a Northrop Grumman Fellow from 2015. She earned Master and PhD degrees in Physics from Lomonosov Moscow State University, joined Chalmers University in Sweden as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in 1998, and became a full Professor in 2006. She was a Research Fellow of The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences from 2003-2006. She was PI on Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research project on developing new advanced base station digital signal processing in collaboration with Ericsson. Dr. Anna Herr has 30 years of experience in superconducting digital circuits. Her research involves superconducting digital logic and systems, VLSI circuit design and development of the EDA tools, magnetic memory, and classical control for qubits. She pioneered the superconducting low-power spin memory JMRAM, and the first 28 nm superconducting fabrication process. She has 73 publications and 31 patents, and multiple Leadership and Innovation awards.
