Elke Van Daele

Elke Van Daele is a surgeon at the Ghent University Hospital. She specializes in esophagus and stomach surgery, and surgical treatments of gastro-esophageal reflux.

She studied at the University of Brussels and the Brussels University Hospital. And received her additional education in digestive surgery at the Ghent University Hospital. She now treats benign afflictions (such as reflux), as well as stomach and esophagus cancers. Minimally invasive surgeries are also part of her expertise. She regularly talks about upper gastrointestinal surgery at national and international conferences. And she has authored or co-authored several peer-reviewed publications.
