Daniela Buchmayr is CEO and Co-Founder of Sarcura, a Vienna-based deep tech startup that aims to revolutionize cell therapy manufacturing. Sarcura aims to scale manufacturing capacity by 100x and reduce costs by 70%, using cutting-edge semiconductor technologies integrated into microfluidic cartridges to enable fully automated manufacturing with integrated process and product control.

With over 15 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical sector, Daniela has gained invaluable expertise in designing and implementing market and business development strategies, as well as leading transformational and cross-functional collaborative projects. Through her extensive experience, Daniela has realized that disruptive innovation is best executed in the agile and flexible environment of a startup. Hence, she left the corporate world to establish Sarcura.

At Sarcura, Daniela is responsible for setting and managing the company's strategic direction. She ensures that her team has the resources and capabilities to push beyond limits and hit the next milestone towards achieving the company's vision. Her open mindset and low agreeableness are reflected in her favourite question - "why?" - which she uses to challenge her environment and any existing status quo.

Daniela holds an MBA in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from WU Executive Academy, Vienna, and an engineering degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, and Genetics.
