Gunther Roelkens - Professor at Photonics Research Group & PI Micro-transfer printing technology, imec research group at Ghent University
Gunther Roelkens received a degree in electrical engineering from Ghent University, Belgium, in 2002 and a PhD from the same university in 2007, at the Department of Information Technology (INTEC), where he is currently full professor. In 2008, he was a visiting scientist in IBM TJ Watson Research Center, New York. His research interest includes the heterogeneous integration of III-V semiconductors and other materials on top of silicon waveguide circuits and electronic/photonic co-integration. He was holder of an ERC starting grant.
