Frauke Christ - Innovation Manager, KU Leuven
As Innovation Manager for therapeutic discoveries and enabling technologies, Frauke operates at the intersection of academic research and discovery, and advancement of future therapies for diseases with a high unmet medical need.
Frauke’s academic journey commenced with a biology degree from the Justus-Liebig University of Giessen, Germany, where she specialized in Genetics and Biochemistry. Subsequently she pursued a PhD in Biochemistry. Transitioning to the field of structural biology, she conducted postdoctoral research at the Chemistry department of Harvard University (Cambridge, Massachusetts). Returning to Europe, she embarked on a second postdoc before assuming the role of Innovation Manager in the field of biomedical sciences at KU Leuven, Belgium. She manages multiple projects from target validation to assay development and preclinical therapeutic discovery.
