Christel Menet - Chief Scientific Officer, Confo Therapeutics

I began my journey in drug discovery as a Medicinal Chemist at Evotec in 2002, and subsequently joined Faust Pharmaceuticals in 2004, now known as Domain Therapeutics, where I delved into the specialized realm of GPCR drug discovery.

In 2005, I became one of the first chemists at Galapagos, where I ascended to the role of Director of Medicinal Chemistry from 2014 to 2016. Notably, under my leadership, the innovative compound filgotinib was propelled into pre-clinical development. Filgotinib has been successfully launched in Europe and Japan.

In 2016, I embarked on a new chapter as the Chief Scientific Officer at Confo Therapeutics, spearheading endeavors to revolutionize the field of GPCR drug discovery. Here, I continue to leverage my expertise to drive the progression of transformative projects and advance promising compounds into the preclinical and clinical phase. During all this time, I made significant contributions to over 25 patent applications.
