Biography
Roger Lemmens - Director Digital Technologies & Health Transformation, imec
Meet Roger Lemmens, a civil engineer with a passion for digital transformation that drives innovation in healthcare.
His journey began at the Eindhoven University of Technology where he graduated as a civil engineer in Mathematics and Information Technology in 1993. He gained his first experiences as operations manager in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and France. He went on to earn an MBA from the Vlerick Business School in 2002 and became managing director at RealDolmen.
In 2007, he transitioned into the health sector as a CEO at ZORGI, where he restructured the member organisation towards an up-to-date and more sustainable business model for each strategic business line.
In 2014, Roger joined iMinds as Vice-President Digital Health where he continued his mission to transform the health industry using technology. Currently, as the Director of Digital Technologies & Transformation at imec, Roger aims to enable digital transformation in healthcare to improve quality of life in a sustainable way.
To further strengthen innovation in healthcare, Roger deploys his operations and business development skills to support entrepreneurs. In 2015 he became a member of the board and investment committee of the imec.istart fund, accelerating tech startups. He also serves on the board of directors of MEDVIA, Health House vzw, Blue Health Innovation Center, Fibricheck, and Ectosense, which he co-founded.
