Jan Adriaenssens

Jan Adriaenssens is director of public technology at imec. He explores which role technology can constructively play in society. Jan studied mathematics in Antwerp and philosophy in London. He then gained experience with science and innovation policy at the Flemish government. He next joined the research centre iMinds, which merged with the research centre imec in 2016, where he started as director of the City of Things programme. As director of public technology, he directs imec's technological research in collaboration with the public sector, for example on topics such as cities, sustainability, mobility, and logistics.
