Sarah Schols

Sarah Schols received her PhD degree in electrical engineering in 2009 from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. She joined imec in 2009 and started her career as a member of the organic electronics program, focusing on research and project management around large area electronics. In 2014 she became manager of imec’s thin film electronics group; and in 2019 Department director Large Area Electronics. Since 2020 she is Department Director Sensor and Actuator Technologies focusing on new innovations on photonics, MEMS and opto-electronics.
